Chiropractic Adjustments

The goal of the chiropractic adjustment is to correct the spinal subluxations detected during the examination. To do that, the doctor applies pressure to the bone and "unlocks" it from its improper position. The bone will then be free to align itself correctly also relieving pressure off of any nerve exiting from that specific area. Thus allowing the messages from the brain to properly communicate with the rest of the body.

Acupuncture

Nicole Barnard, Licensed Acupuncturist, is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She is a general practitioner of acupuncture with a special interest in treating mood disorders, insomnia, and women's health issues.
 Nicole holds a Masters of Science degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver. The master’s program involves four years of training in acupuncture and herbs under various Chinese and Korean doctors, as well as nutrition, psychology, and western medicine. Prior to entering the field of holistic medicine she studied speech pathology and audiology. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina.

Reiki & Healing

Alana and Deanna are certified Healers, Teachers, and Guides through the Modern Mystery School.  They have been studying the ancient teachings of the school that have been handed down in a traceable, unbroken, teacher-to-student lineage for over 3,000 years for the past seven years. They have been trained in Jikiden Reiki - Jikiden simply means “direct lineage” and we practice it as it was originally handed down to Mikao Usui without any modification to the methodology.  Reiki is a gentle Japanese healing art that works to heal on a physical as well as energetic level

Natural Child Birthing Classes

Labor of Love Doula and Childbirth Services, Inc. offers childbirth preparation, parenting classes, lactation classes and much more!. Labor of Love provides labor and postpartum doulas as well as several other childbirth related services. All childbirth classes vary from one another but they are all commonly based on the philosophy of  "Birthing from Within". Our classes vary and offer a wide range from childbirth classes to Dancing for Birthtm, prenatal and postpartum fitness classes, as well as Couples Breastfeeding classes.  All of the classes are offered at the Midtown Family Chiropractic & Wellness Center location. Look for more classes to be added in the future! Please check our calendar for upcoming classes and don't hesitate to register early, these classes fill quickly.
