Published Research & ArticlesDr. Danielle Drobbin
There is room for both curiosity and care. Between 2009 and 2018, Dr. Danielle coauthored six published case reports exploring chiropractic care during pregnancy and childhood. Here, you can read a brief overview of each and follow the link to the original publication.
You will also find a separate collection of her articles and educational resources for women and families.
Four published case reports
Breech Presentation & the Webster Technique
These reports describe individual pregnancies in which Webster Technique was included in chiropractic care. The summaries distinguish the care provided from the outcomes later reported.
Chiropractic Care of a Pregnant Patient Presenting with Intrauterine Constraint Using the Webster In-Utero Constraint Technique: A Retrospective Case Study
Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2009 · Issue 2 · pp. 1–3 · July 22, 2009
A 41-year-old patient sought care at 36 weeks of pregnancy after an ultrasound identified a breech presentation. Care included Webster Technique and manual soft-tissue work. The authors reported a change to head-down presentation after five adjustments. This single case does not establish what caused the change.

Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2015 · Issue 1 · pp. 9–14
This report follows a 31-year-old patient whose obstetrician identified a transverse presentation at 30 weeks. The authors reported that her midwife confirmed head-down presentation after seven visits over three weeks, and that a home birth followed. The observation cannot establish that Webster Technique caused the change in fetal position.

Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2017 · Issue 2 · pp. 44–53
A 35-year-old patient with a previous cesarean delivery presented at 34 weeks with an ultrasound-confirmed breech presentation. Care included Webster and Diversified techniques. The report describes ultrasound-confirmed head-down positioning after four adjustments over two weeks, followed by a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). These events do not establish a causal relationship.

Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2018 · pp. 138–144 · October 18, 2018
This case describes a 33-year-old patient who presented at 29 weeks with an ultrasound-confirmed breech presentation. She received Webster and Diversified care over nine weeks. The authors reported that her obstetrician confirmed head-down positioning after nine adjustments and that a vaginal birth followed. Two published case reports
Infants & Children
These reports document observations in the care of one infant and one school-age child. Their findings describe those individual cases and cannot be generalized to other children.
Resolution of Breastfeeding and Latching Difficulty Following Subluxation Based Chiropractic Care: Case Report and Review of the Literature
Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2015 · Issue 3 · pp. 102–108
A four-week-old infant was brought in because of difficulty latching to the left breast. The report describes changes in neck movement and muscle tension, along with successful feeding immediately after an adjustment. The authors called for further research; this observation does not establish effectiveness for breastfeeding difficulties in other infants.

Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health – Chiropractic
2013 · Issue 3 · pp. 54–59
This report describes a seven-year-old girl with a pediatrician-diagnosed motor tic disorder. The authors reported that her tics resolved after three chiropractic adjustments and recommended further research with larger samples. A single case cannot establish that the adjustments caused the change or demonstrate an effective treatment for tic disorders.
